9/21/2020 Superintendent Hill's IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Good afternoon.  This email is being sent to the parent/guardian(s) of students in Wadsworth Wired.  I'm writing today for three (3) reasons.

First, the thirty dollar ($30.00) instructional fee assessed to all students in grades K-12 in our school buildings will not be assessed to students in Wadsworth Wired, as we do not have justification to do so with the structure of the program.  At the high school level, depending on your child's schedule, other class fees may apply.  Once a decision is made on which fees are applicable to a high school student's schedule, the student's account will be updated for parent/guardian(s) to view.

Second, when you submitted your original commitment form for your child to enroll in Wadsworth Wired it was with the understanding that the commitment was for the first quarter (students in grades 5-12) or the first trimester (grades K-4).  In order for us to prepare for the second quarter (which begins on October 26), we need to know your intentions for your child(ren).  If your child is in grades 5-12, you are asked to complete a new commitment form by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, September 25. Please fill out a new form for each child. For those with a child(ren) in grades K-4, a new commitment form will be sent to you in October, as the second trimester does not start until November 23.

If you opt to return your child(ren) to our school buildings for the second quarter, they will not automatically be able to return to Wadsworth Wired if you decide to change your mind at a later date. There are student capacity limits in Wadsworth Wired, and there is currently a waitlist.

If you do not submit a commitment form for your child, we will plan on your child(ren) continuing in Wadsworth Wired for the second quarter.

Finally, in response to my email on Friday (9/18) about the temporary changes to our breakfast/lunch program, a few of you asked how to sign your child(ren) up for breakfast/lunch. You can sign up by clicking here.
