8/27/2020 Superintendent Hill's IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Good afternoon.  I'm writing today for three (3) reasons.  First, we have created a new page on our district website with information about the 2020-2021 school year.  You can view the web page by clicking here.

Second, our school nurse, Mrs. Lynn Decker, has put together a brief presentation to elaborate on the procedures we will follow for students who display COVID-19 symptoms.  The presentation includes a new decision tree document that was created by the Medina County Health Department that we will follow.  You can view the presentation by clicking here

A big part of how long our school district will be able to keep students in our buildings this school year will depend on all of us doing our part to vigilantly assess symptoms.  We ask that you please check your child for the symptoms listed in Mrs. Decker's presentation each day before sending him/her to school.  We also ask that you take your child's temperature before he/she goes to school.  If your child has a temperature of 100 degrees or higher, or if your child displays any COVID-19 symptoms, please keep him/her home.  We will work with you to make sure your child has access to his/her missing work and that there are no punitive measures taken for missing school in this type of situation. If you have questions relating to our health procedures, please contact Mrs. Lynn Decker at 330-335-1403 or at ldecker@wadsworthschools.org.

Finally, parent/guardian(s) of students in grades 1-12 are able to view information about their child(ren)'s bus route by visiting Versatrans e-Link.  If you do not remember your username and password, please use the following:

Username: First 5 letters of last name.First letter of first name. Student ID#
Password: 8-digit birthday (01/01/2020)

As we are designing our routes to follow our COVID-19 safety precautions, which can be viewed by clicking here and viewing recommendation #5 on pages 6-7, changes may be made to routes daily as new students enroll and are eligible for transportation.  Transportation information for preschool and kindergarten will be mailed to parent/guardian(s) by the beginning of next week.   If you have questions relating to bus route information, please call 330-335-1328.

If you have any general questions, please contact me at 330-335-1300 or at ahill@wadsworthschools.org.  Thank you for your continued support of our school district.

Andy Hill
