Message to Parents

Good afternoon.  I'm writing to you today for a few reasons. First, as our student school year has now concluded, we would appreciate it if you would consider taking time to complete a brief survey for us on your child's remote learning experience.  The feedback you provide will be helpful to us as we prepare for the upcoming school year.  The survey can be viewed by clicking here.  We will also be sending a brief survey to students in grades 3-12, via their district email account, to gather information on their experience.  You can view the student survey by clicking here.   Please encourage your child(ren) to complete this survey, as their response will be helpful to us as well.

Second, we will be continuing with food distribution for students during the summer months.  We plan to deliver to the sites listed below on Tuesday and Friday of next week from 10:30-11:00 a.m.  Beginning the week of June 8, food distribution will occur on Thursday only, from 10:30-11:00 a.m. at the same sites listed below.  Even though the distribution will be on one (1) day, students will receive the same amount of food they have been receiving during a week.  I would like to thank our volunteers and hosting sites that have and continue to make the distribution program possible.  I would also like to thank the Garage Ministry for their involvement with this program since March.

Third, as students are keeping their school-issued electronic devices over the summer, we will continue to offer the exchange/pick-up program at the Charles R. Parsons Administration Building (524 Broad St.).  The program will only be available on Thursday evening from 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Finally, I want to thank you for your patience, understanding and support during the pandemic.  As I previously shared, we will be forming an advisory committee to work through creating plans for the different scenarios we may be faced with next school year.  If you are interested in being a part of the advisory committee, please let me know.  Once we know more about what we are permitted by the Ohio Department of Health to do for next school year, we will communicate our plan with you.

If you have any questions, please let me know.  Thank you for your continued support of our school district.

Andy Hill
