Jody McDougal was elected to the Board of Education in November of 2015. She and her husband, Kevin, have been residents of Wadsworth for the past 13 years. They have four children who attend Wadsworth City Schools. Triplets Colton, Cameron, and Cassidy are sophomores at WHS; and Caitlyn is a freshman at WHS.
Jody has her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Akron and her master's degree from Kent State University. She is a certified women's health nurse practitioner. She was a staff nurse for eight years and a nurse manager of multiple obstetric units for two years before making the decision to leave her career when her triplets were born.
Jody has been very involved in the district for the past ten years, serving as WHYS President of multiple units and on the WHYS United Board for the past three years. She currently serves on many committees in the school district including Academic Council, Wellness Committee, School Counseling Advisory Board, and WHYS, to name a few.
Mrs. McDougal said, "My goal is to assist in providing every student with the ability and resources to reach their full potential. I am proud to be part of a school district with the tradition of excellence such as Wadsworth, and I look forward to assisting in continuing that tradition."
