Hello! My name is Diane Lukens, and I'm thrilled to say this is my 23nd year teaching. It's my 21th year as a 4th grade teacher at Isham Elementary. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and a Master of Education Degree in Reading and Literacy.
I reside in Wadsworth with my husband Scott. He is currently a professor of architecture at Kent State University after a successful career as a master architect in the Akron area. We are happy to say that we successfully raised three wonderful children and have three beautiful grandchildren. Again this year, I will be co-teaching with my daughter, Mrs. Katie Ruff. She is an amazing Intervention Specialist and teacher.
When not teaching, I enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, watching movies, and spending time with my family.
I look forward to meeting all of my students and can't wait to welcome them into my class and have another year of love and learning!
