We will be hosting the annual College Credit Plus informational meeting on Wednesday, October 23rd at 6:30 pm in the high school PAC. This meeting is for students hoping to take college classes for the first time during the 2020-21 school year (current CCP students need not attend). Both students and parents are strongly encouraged to attend as program requirements for participation and deadlines will be explained. Mandatory forms will also be distributed.
The College Credit Plus (CCP) program gives students in grades 7-12 the opportunity to obtain college credits and to apply those credits toward both a high school diploma and college degree.
Tuition, materials, and textbooks are provided at no cost to the students
Specific program requirements must be met for participation including declaring an intent to participate by April 1st and completing a college entrance exam (ACT/SAT). Depending on which college students are applying to, the scores required vary. For any CCP course at the high school or Wayne College, students must have completed the ACT by February 8th at the latest (Juniors may use the February 25th schoolwide ACT).
For those unable to attend the meeting, you need to review the presentation posted on the Guidance website and contact the WHS Guidance Office for program guidelines and required forms.
You also may visit Ohio Department of Education CCP details for more information.
Thanks and we look forward to seeing you on the 23rd.
