Fishing Club

This year the 7th and 8th grade students have the opportunity to participate in the Wadsworth Middle School Fishing Club.  It is a program that teaches students about the fundamentals of fishing.  Skills are taught when they go fishing at various parks in the area.

Transportation will be provided to and from the after school outings. On outing days, your child will need picked up at the middle school at 4:30 pm in the front (east) parking lot.  You may use your own poles and equipment, otherwise poles and bait will be provided.  If students use their own gear, they cannot transport it to school on the bus in the morning. The club will start on Wednesday, April 1st, with a meeting during I.E. period.  When the weather turns nice, we will start making our trips.  There is a $15 fee to participate in this activity.

Outings will be on the following Mondays:

  • April 20th @ Memorial Park
  • April 27th @ Silvercreek Park
  • May 4th @ Riverstyx Park
  • May 11th @ Lake Dorthy (Norton)

Please encourage your child to listen to announcements for date changes due to weather.  If the weather does not permit an outing, it may be rescheduled for a later date.

Welcome to Fishing Club!!!
