Random Drug Testing of Students

A part of our Strategic Plan 2016-2020 involves examining our current drug prevention programs and researching what other school districts do in the area of drug prevention.  Through this process, we identified random alcohol, drug and nicotine testing of students as an area we would like to explore further.  At the April 2016 Wadsworth City School District Board of Education meeting, Dr. Hill shared that a committee would be formed to explore this topic.

Legally, public school districts are allowed to randomly test students who participate in extracurricular activities that are not tied to an academic grade and students who purchase parking passes that allow them to drive to school.

Report Cards

Students and Parents,

In keeping with the consistency of district policy, if your instructional fees are not paid before March 17th, your report card will be held until your instructional fees are paid.  Please make sure to get those submitted in a timely manner.  If you are not sure if they are paid or not, please stop in to the office. We were supposed to hold the 2nd nine weeks report card and so on, but failed to do so at the Middle School.  That is my fault and after finding our mistake, we are going to adhere to the policy for the 3rd nine weeks.
