Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have to be a resident of Wadsworth to register for classes?
No, anyone can register.
Where can I obtain a registration form?
Click on the Registration Form link to the right to print a form. If you are having trouble downloading the PDF file on this website or do not have access to a printer, you can obtain a registration form at the Wadsworth High School main office.
Can you register for classes online with a credit card?
Unfortunately, this option is not available at this time. You may register by mail with a check, or you may register in person with cash or check at Wadsworth High School. Go to the main office during the hours of 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Registration forms are available there.
Are there minimum and maximum enrollment numbers for classes?
Yes, but these numbers vary per class. Most classes have a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 15 participants; but again, some classes can have fewer or more participants, depending on the class. Registration is based on first-come, first served, so when a class is full, no additional registrations will be accepted.
Do you send confirmation of my registration? How do I know I am enrolled?
We do not send confirmation of registration. However, approximately two days prior to the start of the class an email will be sent out to registered members announcing if the class will or will not be held according to the minimum number needed to run the class. If the class will be held, the email will also contain details regarding what location to enter the building and the room number of the class. It is very important to check your email a day or two prior to the start date of the class.
What if a class is canceled due to lack of enrollment and I have already registered?
If a class is canceled, you will be notified and your registration fee will be refunded to you. Please allow 4-6 weeks for your refund check.
Where are classes held?
All classes are held at Wadsworth High School unless otherwise notified. Rooms are not determined until enrollment numbers are known. Please refer to the your email that will be sent out approximately two days prior to the start of your class for where to enter the building and what class room your class will be held in.
What if there is a snow day?
If Wadsworth City Schools are closed due to weather, evening community education classes are NOT necessarily canceled. Sometimes weather in the evening is much better than earlier that morning. We will contact you via email if classes are canceled.
