2018 Scholarship Application

Announcements for Seniors and Parents:

1/17/18:   News from Mrs. Freund and Guidance!!

Dear Seniors,

I am writing to explain a few different scholarship opportunities that are presently available to you and are linked below.  Two of them are locally run scholarship programs- The WHS Local Scholarship, and the Scholarship Foundation of Wadsworth.  Please know there is a separate application for each locally run program.

WHS Local Scholarship Application:  This application is due Friday, February 2nd at 3pm.

Scholarship Foundation of Wadsworth  This application is due Wednesday, February 28th.

The third opportunity is a list of multiple, separate scholarships that you will find in Naviance/Family Connection.  This list will grow as the semester continues, and therefore I encourage you to revisit the list periodically and apply to any new scholarships for which you may be eligible.  Seniors have a username/pswd available to them for Naviance.  The login page for Naviance/Family Connection  is here.

I also want to remind students and families of our College Now advisor who is here twice a month.  You are able to make an hour long meeting with her if you need assistance with national, regional, or college specific scholarship searches or help with financial aid applications and understanding different financial aid awards/packages. The sign up is found here.

Apply, apply, apply!

1/11/18:

All seniors have a cap and gown ordered for commencement exercises. The order form was processed in the fall when each senior met with his or her guidance counselor.  If you do not need a cap or gown because you are using one from a sibling or are not participating in commencement you must fill out a form to have this fee waived.  Fees have automatically been added to each senior's account.  The only way to remove this fee is by following the procedures outlined on the waiver form.

11/10/17:

10/30/17:

Graduation Announcement order forms were handed out in your 2nd period class this week.  If you would like to order announcements from Herff Jones, Rick Call will be in the Senior Commons on November 10th and 17th during the lunch periods.  Please bring your order forms to Mr. Call at that time.  If you did not recieve an order packet and you would like one, please see Ms. Broadhurst in room 2105.
